The most important function in a Slavic home is the bridal festival, which is generally celebrated in flower, summer or autumn. It was a time for celebration and happiness, as it marked the beginning of the new lifestyle. After the meeting the newlyweds walk through the streets of the town, with persons throwing seedlings of rice, pastries and coins for happiness and prosperity. They also stop at local shrines and give memorial. The wedding ceremony is supervised by a master of ceremonies called a” Tamada”. He is a boisterous colleague who runs the diverse tournaments.
