The About Us page is often the second most visited page on a small business website. People go there to answer one question: Can I trust these people? Yet most About pages are a single paragraph of buzzwords.
What visitors want to know
- Who is behind the business, ideally with a name and face
- How long you've been doing this and where
- What you specialise in
- Why you do it differently
- Proof: clients, numbers, certifications, reviews

Use real photos
Team photos, your office, shop, vehicles or workshop beat any stock image. See stock vs real photos.
Tell a short, true story
"My father ran one taxi from Phillaur bus stand in 1998. Today we run 22 cars, and he still checks every car before an airport trip." One honest detail like this builds more trust than paragraphs of claims. See storytelling in marketing.
Mistakes to avoid
- "We are a leading company providing best quality services"
- No names, no faces, no address
- Copying another company's About text. That's a copyright problem too. See competitor copied content
- No call to action at the end
