Local newspapers, city news portals and YouTube news channels need stories every day. A clear press release makes it easy for them to cover your business, and the coverage builds trust and often brings valuable mentions and links.
Is it news?
Editors want news, not ads. Good angles:
- Opening a new branch or office
- A milestone ("10,000th airport trip")
- An award, certification or government empanelment
- A community initiative: free rides for senior citizens on polling day, a blood donation camp
- A local survey or data ("What Ludhiana travellers want in 2026")
- A new service that's genuinely first in your area
"We have launched a new website" is rarely news on its own.

FAQs
Should I pay for press release distribution sites?
They rarely bring real coverage or SEO value for local businesses. Direct outreach to local reporters usually works better.
